The ongoing assault on Gaza has caused unimaginable human suffering. As of late 2025, over 50,000 Palestinians have been killed and nearly 170,000 injured. Independent observers warn that many more remain missing beneath the rubble, with the real toll likely far higher.

Over 1.9 million people—almost 90% of Gaza’s population—have been displaced from their homes, many more than once, with virtually nowhere left that is safe. Entire neighbourhoods have been flattened. Schools, hospitals, mosques, homes and public spaces have been deliberately and repeatedly targeted.

Gaza is home to approximately 2.1 million people, making it one of the most densely populated places on Earth. Before this war, living conditions were already dire. Now, more than 80% of the population is dependent on humanitarian aid for basic survival, as poverty and hunger reach critical levels.

Children in Gaza are living through unspeakable trauma. Thousands have been orphaned, maimed, or killed. Those who survive face daily horror, hunger, and hopelessness, trapped in an environment of fear and loss.

Israel’s ongoing bombardment has destroyed over 90% of homes and up to 90% of the territory’s buildings. Gaza’s healthcare system is collapsing under the weight of airstrikes and siege. Fewer than half of hospitals remain even partially operational, and medical supplies are dangerously low. There is no consistent access to clean water, electricity, or fuel.

Many international and humanitarian organisations have long referred to Gaza as the world’s largest open-air prison—now, that prison is being reduced to rubble. And yet, the people of Gaza refuse to give up. They endure with dignity, refusing to surrender to despair or occupation. In this moment of grave injustice, we must stand in unwavering solidarity with them.

We have joined forces with Ummah Welfare Trust, One Nation, and One Ummah to launch a united Gaza Emergency Appeal. Your donations are urgently needed to provide emergency relief: food, clean water, blankets, medical aid, fuel, and other lifesaving essentials.

The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said:
“Whoever relieves a Muslim of distress, Allah will relieve him of distress on the Day of Resurrection.” (Bukhari & Muslim)

We therefore urge you: stand in solidarity. Give generously. The people of Gaza need your voice, your support, your compassion now more than ever.
