On Sunday 12th October 2025, I’ll be running the Manchester Half Marathon — 13.1 miles of endurance and determination.
But this run isn’t for me. It’s for Gaza.
The brutal attacks on Gaza have killed tens of thousands, with many more injured. Millions have been forced from their homes, with nowhere safe to go. Homes, schools, hospitals, mosques and even agricultural land have all been destroyed.
Gaza is home to over 2 million people — one of the most densely populated places on Earsth. After years of blockade and repeated attacks, 80% of the population relies on aid just to survive. Families face daily shortages of food, clean water, medicine and electricity. Children live with unimaginable trauma, trapped in what many call the world’s largest open-air prison.
In the face of this suffering, I am running to raise life-saving emergency funds for our brothers and sisters in Gaza — to help provide food, clean water, medical care, and shelter.
